Dr. Darryl Whitaker
Darryl Whitaker received his Doctor of Biblical Studies in Biblical Counseling from Master’s Graduate School of Divinity in Evansville, IN. He is a certified Biblical counselor by the International Association of Biblical Counselors. He completed Level I of Clinical Pastoral Education at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Whitaker is a board certified crisis chaplain with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. He has training in Interdisciplinary Studies in the mental health field and in critical incident stress management. Dr. Whitaker is a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, National Center for Crisis Management, the American Associates of Christian Counselors, Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association, the New Canaan Society of Winston-Salem. He counsels, mentors, and teaches classes on depression, PTSD, and suicide.
Dr. Whitaker is a 2013 Board Member for The Institute For Traumatic Stress, INC. An International Association Of Traumatic Stress Consultants ™
Dr. Whiatker is the Executive Director for Stepping Stones Ministres of the Triad.
Dr. Whitaker has 23 years of ministry experience and has been counseling in the homeless community for 10 years, during which time he has worked at the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission. While working at the Rescue Mission Dr. Whitaker has received acknowledgment from The House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky for his homeless ministry work.
