If we know one thing to be true it’s that this life is a journey.  As with any journey, that which starts out on the trip changes along the way; physically, emotionally, and definitely by experience. Food 4 the road, is a hybrid devotion and blog combination formed out of the life experiences, struggles, and wisdom learned from many sources.  As the one who gets to share these humble perspectives with you, it is my hearts desire that you’ll be able to see the experiences of your own life for what they are; the interaction and instruction of our Heavenly Father.
At this point, I wish for you to know that I am a man just like you, having neither a sheepskin diploma, nor any formal training in counseling.  All that you see here, will be perspectives that have been revealed to me through personal study, and time spent at the feet of Jesus Christ. I promise you that you’ll find mistakes, and grammatical errors, but the love I have for you, the reader, will flow from every word that you read.  This may not appeal to every reader, and I can appreciate that, but for those who wish to stick around, I pray that you’ll not only be touched, but potentially taught how to view the personal interaction of our Heavenly Father.  So please join me for the journey and as we walk this path, let me share some Food 4 the Road!

Does God speak to the common man? Is His voice heard among the populace of the pews, and can a common man speak from the pews? Realizing that not everyone holds a doctorate or serves as a professional church leader, A Voice from the Pews attempts to share insights and devotionals from the life and experiences of just such a common man. Using word pictures, Scripture references, and life experiences, Mr. Sheldon hopes his book will encourage you through a variety of circumstances.

16570_100564886637768_3842247_nPaul Sheldon fondly calls Elkhart, Indiana, his home town. From the early days of the new millennium, Paul and his wife have encountered many experiences, hardships, and life lessons along the way. Much like the rest of us, these sufferings have taught him obedience, humility, and service and have formed many of the life lessons that you’ll read about. So take a seat, get comfortable, and enjoy A Voice from the Pews.
