Go the Distance is a discipleship ministry helping men and fathers find the life of the heart that God offers, for from the heart flows the wellspring of life (Proverbs 4:23). From the life of the heart flows everything, and touches all aspects of a man’s life…his wife, his sons and daughters, his work environment, his church, and his community. However, most men don’t live from their heart. That essential essence of what it means to be fully alive as a man has been lost or stolen. Their hearts have been broken, beaten, and torn by the things that have happened to him, whether by his choice or not. The God-given glory of a man’s life gets buried, and forgotten. Men need redemption, restoration, and recovery. We believe it’s time to see men restored and set free to follow our King. This happens in the following ways:

  • Men’s Retreats based on Wild at Heart and The Masculine Journey
  • Teaching fathers about initiating their sons or giving their sons a rite of passage into manhood. This is primarily done through the message of Passage to Manhood.
  • Outdoor Adventure Trips
  • One on one mentoring and discipleship

Recalibrate — One Day Men’s Retreat Sat. March 1, 2014

 

 

Attention Alumni of HAF, Wild at Heart Boot Camp, Heart of the Warrior, Lansing Bulls, KCC Freedom Fighters, or any Go the Distance event!

Recalibrate is a one-day retreat for anyone who has ever loved the message in Wild at Heart (or any Eldredge material)…for any alumni of Hearts Alive & Free, a Wild at Heart Boot Camp, or any Go the Distance Ministries event.  If you’ve been to Boot Camp, think of it as what you experienced on that Saturday.  There will be four teaching sessions, worship, time alone with God, as well as free time.  Free time activities include an indoor high-ropes course, indoor rock climbing wall, ice-fishing (you supply the rods and gear), archery (supplied by the camp), and cigars around the fire.  Horseback riding is available for $10 per man (need to know if advance if you are interested).  Also included are two meals.  All this for $59 per man.

When:  Saturday, Mar 1, from 9am to 7pm with an optional movie at 7pm.  (Registration begins at 8:30am).

Where:  Camp Manitou-Lin, located on Lake Barlow in Middleville, MI, approx 20 miles south of Grand Rapids, just off M-37.

What:  A full day refresher to Recalibrate you to the Truth of Who You Are, Where You Are in the Larger Story, His Purpose for You, plus The Enemy’s Tactics  & How to Take Ground Back.

Who:  Put on by the Go the Distance team for any man who wants more of the Ransomed Heart message.
