“The dream of paradise and the use of plants in story telling are as old as man.” So says expert botanist Hans Arne Jensen in his new book, Plant World of the Bible.
Authoritative, exhaustively researched, expertly written and beautifully illustrated with ancient and rarely seen artwork, Plant World of the Bible is the definitive guide to the almost 100 plant species mentioned in the texts of the Bible.
“I… find that Dr. Jensen’s work is not only accurate but also very interesting,” says Dr. Arnold L. Larsen, Director and Professor emeritus at Colorado State University. “This work should be accepted and enjoyed worldwide.”
Written for Bible readers, gardeners, history buffs and cultural scholars, Plant World of the Bible explains in detail the massive historical and cultural significance of these plants and their inclusion in human history’s most influential book.
