Bruce Atchison joined a house church in 1971, believing that the Lord led him to an elite congregation. Its teacher captivated him immediately with his supposedly advanced revelations from God. Throughout Atchison’s fifteen-year attendance, church elders chided him whenever they prayed but he “lost his healing.” No matter how he built up his faith, nothing happened. How I Was Razed shows how the heavenly Father saved Atchison from this lay minister’s evil influence and led him to the joy of authentic Christianity. Though this author is almost blind, God marvelously improved his spiritual sight through the expositional teaching of john MacArthur, Hank Hanegraaff, R. C. Sproul, Ravi Zachiarias, and many more. The author previously published “When a Man Loves a Rabbit (Learning and Living With Bunnies)” and “Deliverance from Jericho (Six Years in a Blind School).” Additionally, he has written a wide variety of freelance articles since 1996. Atchison currently lives in rural Alberta with two house rabbits.
