Calvary Baptist Church’s Special Needs Bible Fellowship/ Sunday school meet together every Sunday Morning at 5000 Country Club Blvd in Winston Salem from 9:30am to 10:40am.
We have a wide range of students both in age and abilities from 12 to 52 years old and completely non-verbal to highly communicative. We have Church members and non-members, even a group home comes. Please, please come and see if we have a place for you or your loved one.
We are currently going through the Walk through the Bible Series as we have customized it for special needs of varying ability. Please come and visit and experience God‘s hand as He ministers here through these Exceptional people.

Sparrow Ranch on the Island is a nonprofit ministry for people with special needs and their families. It was a vision given to founder Ricky Teal and it all takes place right on the sandy shores of Lake Wylie, SC. Our worship team “Sparrow Ranch Bethany” is excited to be releasing our very first single called “Paint My Life A Love Song” featuring Heather Elkin McKoy. This song was INSPIRED and written through the eyes of a 16 year old young lady named MaKayla who is unable to speak and has an un-diagnosed developmentally disability.
People from up and down portions of the East coast come to Sparrow Ranch on the Island for the very special events that take place during the spring and summer months. Everything revolves around a powerful time of worship and it is so beautiful to see the visitors with special needs help lead the service in ways words can never describe.
So many lives have been touched and changed through these special times of worship and fellowship. The events begin as a blank canvas and a palette of oh so many colors and with every special moment comes a stroke of the brush that creates a unique masterpiece that reveals His Glory.
Extraordinary Love The Book
Faith Based Parenting for special needs kids
Wow, this story is an amazing one. This is the story of how Extraordinary Love, which has just been release all came to fruition. It’s a story of patience and God overwhelmingly connecting all the dots.
It all began on a Saturday morning in April 2014. Michelle and I were driving through the quaint country side of Upper Bucks County to spend a day walking through antique markets … simply to just spend time together. Actually, it was our anniversary.
We had been praying for several years that God would provide a tangible way that we could encourage parents who have children with special needs from a Christian perspective. It was during this time of conversation that I decided that we should put together a resource for parents to look at various aspects of parenting children with special needs from a biblical perspective. Basically, write a book of biblical principles that pertain to parenting children with special needs.
After 2 years … and a journey that has introduced us to some amazing people … the book title, Extraordinary Love, has been published!!
