Being a community where uniqueness is celebrated

We are all unique creations of God.  Connecting with God should highlight those special aspects of our personality that God built into us.  Celebrating our differences allows us to be free to be who God made us to be, and appreciate the uniqueness of others without feeling a pressure to be like them.

I Corinthians 12:18-21

But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part!  Yes, there are many parts, but only one body.  The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

Being a community that empowers people

At CITYChurch the power of God will not be demonstrated by people coming together to build a church, but by God using the church to build up people.  Our desire is help you learn how to do what God has uniquely gifted you to do.

Ephesians 4:11-12

God gave us all different roles “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”.

Being a Community that fosters Wholeness

We believe that every person was designed by a loving Creator God.  Our identity is tied to knowing our Creator.  We value being a community of people that helps other people become whole by connecting with the Creator.  Knowing your Creator begins a transformation that brings wholeness and restoration to you, your family, your community, and all those you encounter.  The wholeness that our Creator desires for us is spiritual, physical, and emotional.

John 10:10

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full

Being a people that illustrate the story of God

CITYChurch not only believes that the Bible is God’s written story, we believe that the story continues in our lives.  Our lives are a living expression of who God is.  Knowing God’s story should lead us to feel connected to God’s story.  Feeling connected to God’s story should lead us to express God’s story by the way we live.
