I

Making a positive impact on the world by empowering people to empower others.

As a young person I was an aggressive leader, who found myself drifting in the wrong direction. My teenage years were filled with gang and criminal activities and finally in January 1972 following an armed robbery, I had a shootout with the police. I was shot through both legs and once in the head. By the grace of God no one died. In November of that year I was sentenced to serve 75 years in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, at Angola, Louisiana. During that period Angola was classified as being the bloodiest prison in the nation. I survived, was rebellious and was classified as a militant. Years later I turned my life over to God.

I served 271/2 years in prison. During the course of that time I rose from being a criminal, militant and a person who only believed in himself, to an educator, leader, teacher, minister, journalist, paralegal, cpr instructor-trainer, life coach, mentor, magazine editor, film maker, motivational speaker and finally, after being featured in the Academy Award nominated documentary The Farm – Life Inside Angola Prison I was set free. Since being paroled in 1999 I have become a pastor, mentor and teacher. I believe in helping people to release their God given ability of empowerment in their lives with the hope they will do the same for others (Google my name of the internet). I designed this web site so that I can organize my contacts throughout the world and provide a means for those interested to receive my products, trainings and mentorship. I intend to keep this web site simple. I will, however, expand it to include an album, blog and shopping cart.

God bless you as you pursue the goal that the Creator has placed in your heart.
n Matthew 20:26 Yeshua (Jesus) said, “…But it shall not be so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you, shall first learn to serve.” Thus comes the foundation for servant leadership.

Regardless of race, geographic location, class status, or anything that makes us appear different, when we learn to lead through servanthood we defy the normal teachings of leadership, and fall into a special category that is reserved for special people who possess a special love for mankind. A servant leader moves past the normal attitudes of the traditional leader and often finds himself or herself in a special position of edification of others.

We find servant leaders in various places and professions, e.g., pastors, teachers, lawyers, doctors, public servants, counselors, carpenters, fishermen, wives, mothers, etc. We are also finding servant leaders in positions as heads of corporations, business, community organizations, artists, musicians, real estate, inventors and practically all walks of life. Anyone who has a heart for his or her fellow human being can be a servant leader. It’s merely a matter of perception and learning to lead from the position of serving. When Yeshua (Jesus) was asked which commandment was the greatest, He responded, “To love the Lord God with all your mind, heart, body and soul … and to love your neighbors as yourselves. All of the commandments hinge on these two.”

Our symbol, above, is the head of a lion whose mane is ablaze with the fire of the Holy Spirit, raging in the heart of the Divine Creator. This is overlain atop a symbol from Africa that means “He who shall become a king must first become the slave to others.”

Only a true servant leader can live by that principle. It’s the reason God created us.http://societyofservantleaders.com/
